The Schutz Board web site is dedicated to assisting the Board members in providing
quality governance for the Schutz American School through increased communications.
This can be accomplished by utilizing technology to aid in the collaborative process
and providing a single portal for Board specific information.

About Schutz American School |
|
The Schutz American School is recognized in Egypt as an American entity providing an education to American and other international students. The Ministry of Higher Education of Egypt recognizes the Schutz diploma to be a foreign diploma equivalent to the Egyptian high school diploma, and Schutz graduates are eligible for admission to Egyptian universities. The school is governed by the Board of Trustees, as defined by the by-laws, which develops school policy and ensures that the policy is carried out by the Head of School.

Board Committees |
|
All committees (except the Executive Committee) shall be appointed annually by the President of the Board after consultation with the Executive Committee. All committee meetings are open unless the committee agrees to a closed meeting to discuss especially sensitive issues. All committees will make a written record of each meeting and will submit copies for the whole Board. All committees shall have a minimum of two Board members. The Finance, Policy and Education Committees shall also include a student and a parent or school staff member. The President and Head of School shall be ex-officio members of each committee.
